Our approach to GRC is that Governance directs, Risk is managed, and Compliance is an outcome.
In this view, Governance is a structure, rather than a document store. Risk is owned and managed. Compliance is an outcome, rather than the driver or the whole point of GRC.
The Name Reflects the Way
Njordium is based in the Nordics, and the name comes from Njord, the Norse god of the sea, symbolising insight and deep knowing beyond the surface, a fitting reference for a firm founded to guide organisations navigating the cyber landscape.

Njordium's methods are based on practical experience and a direct approach, working together with our clients. The approach centres on people, process and technology, in that order. The result addresses the underlying causes and critical success factors across all three.
Technology only creates value in how it's implemented and used, to support people and process, rather than the other way round. Njordium emphasises the importance of the people and processes that use, manage and develop the technology.
Our Background
Njordium was founded in 2024 by the senior consultants Kim Haverblad and Mads Becker Jørgensen. Both bring a business view of IT and an entrepreneurial mindset, combined with leadership skills, and hands-on consulting experience.
The tendency to reduce GRC improvement initiatives to technology projects doesn't address the underlying causes. Njordium puts people and process back at the centre, with technology in its proper place: supporting rather than defining. Njordium was founded to work in that space.
